How to automatically close browser tabs in safari

In IOS 13 Apple introduced a new feature to help you close those and manage excessive tabs you have open in Safari (All 54 of them). 


It's extremely easy for safari tabs to get out of hand really quickly without you even noticing, hyperlinks opening in new tabs and the way safari opens tabs in a vertical stack are a few of the reasons that this happens. 


Fortunately, in IOS 13 Apple is addressing the underlying issue, the fact that you need help closing those tabs regularly. Check out the steps below. 


  1. First, open the Settings app.
  2. Then scroll down to Safari settings and tap on that.
  3. There’s a lot in there, you want to scroll down to the Tabs section and tap on the Close Tabs selection.
  4. By default, it is set to Manually, but you can change it to After One DayAfter One Week, or After One Month.
