How to prolong your iPhone battery life.
One of the biggest setbacks of having an iPhone is battery life. No matter what you do, how often you charge it, it always drains faster than you want it to, and the drain rate has been proven to speed up as your iPhone gets older.
Apple has estimated that an iPhone will lose 20% of its capacity after 400 full charge and discharge cycles, which is approximately two years of normal use with your device.
So to help you really grasp what that means let's go a little deeper. If you were to completely drain your iPhone battery every single day (which is a lot of use since Apple estimates that the iPhone can last for up to 8 hours of talk time per charge) it would take about 13 months before your battery would only be able to hold about 80% of its charge.

- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on the Battery category. You’ll see a bunch of battery stats and a “Low Power Mode” toggle up top.
- Tap on Battery Health.
- In the Battery Health section you’ll see the toggle for Optimized Battery Charging.
